UN cash-for-work scheme to help Mongolian herders amid livestock disaster
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is developing a cash-for-work programme in Mongolia under which herders will earn income to clear and bury the carcasses of the over 2 million livestock that have perished nationwide amid a particularly harsh winter.

Silver Wheaton exercises right to acquire 12.5% of life of mine silver production from the Loma de La Plata zone of the Navidad project
/CNW/ - Silver Wheaton Corp. ("Silver Wheaton" or the "Company") (TSX, NYSE: SLW) is pleased to announce that it has elected to convert its debenture with Pan American Silver Corp. ("Pan American") into an agreement to acquire an amount equal to 12.5% of the life of mine silver production from the Loma de La Plata zone of the Navidad project ("Navidad"). Navidad is located in the Province of Chubut, Argentina, and is one of the largest undeveloped silver deposits in the world. The Loma de La Plata zone contains approximately 25% of the measured and indicated silver resources within the Navidad deposit (see Aquiline Resources Inc. ("Aquiline") press release dated April 16, 2009). Pan American inherited the debenture as a result of its recent CDN$626 million acquisition of Aquiline, the previous owner of the Navidad project (see Pan American press releases dated October 14, 2009 and January 26, 2010). Silver Wheaton and Pan American expect to finalize the definitive terms of the silver purchase agreement by the end of 2010.
