New Boeing 747 8 Has First Flight
The first units of this plane are to be built in the freight hauler capacity for shippers. News of a passenger model have been released but will take several years to be available.
The latest weather reports from the flight area are said to be delaying to inaugural flight which was to have started at 11 AM PST.
This newest model of 747 is the 15th in the lines history and can carry 16 percent more cargo over a 747-400 model. The huge weight capacity increase is due to the installation of General Electric GEnx 2B engines.
